August is the month to kick-start things at Eastman First!

August is an exciting time in the life of the church! Many of our programs get started in the month of August. This is a great time to try something new. If you have questions about any of the programs, give us a call at the church office. We can point you in the right direction,

Our Tuesday Book Study group is taking some time off during the summer months but are making plans to assemble beginning August 18th at 12:00PM. We will begin a study of the book, Not a Fan, a book about becoming a completely committed follower of Jesus. It’s written by Kyle Idleman, the Senior Pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY., a multi-site congregation. There is also a video component we will be using along with the book so we will be meeting in the Open Door Classroom. The book is available on Amazon or we can get you a copy if you need us to.

Wednesday Night Supper
Join us for a fun time of food and fellowship on August 19th as we kick-off our Wednesday Night Suppers. 
We will be serving a variety of salads (pasta, chicken, etc.) Cost of the meal is $8.00/adult, $5.00/child with a $25.00 household maximum. Contact the church office to make a reservation. Please register by 4:00PM on Thursday, August 13th.

Joy Fellowship will Kick-Off their Fall start by visiting The Steak House Restaurant in Hawkinsville on Thursday, 
August 27th. Adults of all ages are invited to attend. If you would like to ride the church van, please meet in the parking 
lot by 4:30 PM. If you plan to meet us there, we should be arriving around 5:00 PM. Please let Frances Edge know if you plan to attend so that she can turn a number in to the restaurant staff.
