Advent 2021

Common Devotional Reading

This Advent, we have a new and exciting opportunity. We’ll be reading together a daily devotional, Songs for the Waiting by UMC pastor Magrey R. DeVega. Click the picture to the left to make your purchase.

This devotional focuses on beloved Christmas Carols, giving both background and theological depth to them. Ted’s sermons will also focus on a beloved Christmas Carol each week, taking the carol and corresponding scripture as its starting point.

How do you participate? Purchase the book, linked by clicking the picture above. Then, each day, do the assigned reading. On Sundays, come prepared to hear about one of the Christmas carols featured in the book. Consider talking about your readings in your Sunday School class or among your friends or small group.
