Daily Prayer Podcast

Our new podcast offers a chance to pray, daily, following a guided meditation from Ted. These prayers follow the pattern of Lectio Divina (see links below) and take only a few minutes. Engaging in prayer this way makes it such times of prayer more accessible, not only because the time is guided, but because podcasts go with you wherever you go. Listen and pray while you do chores, while you drive, or while you exercise. Each episode is about five minutes long.

To get started, simply search “Eastman Prays” wherever you get your podcasts. New to podcasting? Check out the links at the bottom of this page!

This is one of four ways offered to spend time daily with God. Each member of Eastman First Methodist is encouraged to pick at least one to create a daily habit with God. Here are the other three:

Lectio Divina (Praying Scripture)
Praying the Psalms
Daily Bible Reading

Not sure how to listen to a podcast or where to get started? Podcasts are easiest when listened to on your phone or other smart device. Your phone or tablet almost certainly has a preinstalled podcast app like Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, or Stitcher. Find any of those in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Amazon Store.
