Book Study on the Enneagram
Ted will be offering a book study for discipleship, via Zoom, that will meet Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m., beginning Monday, September 21. The group will focus on the Enneagram, a way of understanding our unique personalities from a spiritual angle. Church leadership did such a study during their retreat in February and thoroughly enjoyed it. This study will read through a different book than leadership used, a book designed for beginners and those well-versed in the Enneagram alike. Those who have participated in previous Adult Confirmation Classes may find it helpful in taking the next faithful step in your understanding of self and your spiritual disciplines.
To enroll, email Ted. Come to the first session having read the introduction and chapter 1. The book is the gold standard of books on this topic, one that’s both easy to read and deep in content. It’s The Sacred Enneagram by Chris Heuertz. Get it on Amazon or Apple Books.
Holy C.O.W. (Children on Wednesdays)
Holy COW will return beginning September 30, with social distancing measures in place. This program for elementary-aged kids will play on the playground and then go to the Social Hall for activities from Leigh Law, just as we did in the past. Children will be temperature checked before entering the church van and will be required to wear masks at all times. Leigh and her volunteers will as well. Because of limitations on the van and to ensure proper social distancing, the program is limited to fourteen participants. Sign up by contacting Leigh.
Small Groups/House Churches
Part of the interactive worship experience will be to share prayer requests and pray with and for each other during the small group time. Groups will also spend time, after the service has concluded, discussing the sermon, to encourage application and spiritual growth.
Sunday school has continued, via zoom, for the Open Door Class. The Social Hall Class has been in discussions of doing the same. Other classes may meet via Zoom as well. The church is happy to offer technical support for this so that classes may meet.
Children of all ages and youth Sunday School classes will be conducted via the small groups that are forming (see above).
