The Reverend Ted Goshorn joined in ministry with Eastman First Methodist in June of 2017. Ted brings with him a passion for equipping churches to transform their communities into corners of the Kingdom of God.
Ted grew up in Rome, Georgia but is not new to middle Georgia, having lived for seven years in Macon. He and his wife, Dana, and their two children Jackson and Carter, have found a wonderful and welcoming home in Eastman and look forward to many years of ministry here.
Ted is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree from Emory University‘s Candler School of Theology, where he also received his Master of Divinity degree. Prior to becoming a pastor, Ted earned his Master of Education in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from James Madison University and his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in History from Berry College. He is an Ordained Elder in the South Georgia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Before coming to Eastman, he served as pastor of Adairsville First United Methodist; Chaplain of Reinhardt University; Associate Pastor at Vineville United Methodist, and pastor of the Baldwin County Circuit, composed of Bethel, Pleasant Grove, and Linton United Methodist Churches.
Prior to joining the ministry, Ted was a higher education administrator and instructor at Mercer University, James Madison University, Blue Ridge Community College, and the University of West Georgia.
