The Reverend Ted Goshorn joined in ministry with Eastman First Methodist in June of 2017. Ted brings with him a passion for equipping churches to transform their communities into corners of the Kingdom of God.
Ted seeks to lead Eastman First to be the best it can be, taking the “next faithful step,” as he is fond of saying, to bring the Kingdom of God to bear in Eastman and Dodge County. Together, Eastman First is working toward that goal, as we walk the journey of life together with Christ, with each other, and with Dodge County.
Ted grew up in Rome, Georgia but is not new to middle Georgia, having lived for seven years in Macon. He and his wife, Dana, and their two children Jackson and Carter, have found a wonderful and welcoming home in Eastman and look forward to many years of ministry here.
Ted earned his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in History from Berry College, his Master of Education in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from James Madison University, and his Master of Divinity from Emory University‘s Candler School of Theology. He holds Provisional Membership in the South Georgia Annual Conference and is commissioned as a Provisional Elder. He has served as pastor of the Baldwin County Circuit, composed of Bethel, Pleasant Grove, and Linton United Methodist Churches; Vineville United Methodist as Associate Pastor; Chaplain of Reinhardt University; and Pastor of Adairsville First United Methodist; prior to being appointed to Eastman First.
