Thank you to all who completed our worship survey. The results are in and were very helpful in thinking through what worship looks like until we can fully reopen. We continue to wait for social distancing restrictions to be lifted sufficient to have worship services as we once did in the Social Hall and the Sanctuary.
During that waiting, the survey results were clear with a strong preference to simply remain online, worshipping as we have been since March 15, until we can have worship again as we did prior to that date: 87.9% of those responding indicated this option. Of those 87.9%, 57.6% strongly preferred to simply remain online. This was well over and above options to have services in the sanctuary while practicing social distancing and the house church/small group option.
Additionally, for those who would remain online, including those out of town who have been joining us online, the strong preference (75%) was to either do a Facebook live broadcast of one of our services or record a live service and publish later on that Sunday. We are working on solutions for this and will have one ready to go upon reopening.
In other ways, we are partially reopening, including the office and for small groups. Check out that update here: https://eastmanfirst.com/2020/06/04/survey/
Thank you for your continued support of our church and its ministry!
