April Fools Day is usually celebrated by pulling pranks on unsuspecting friends and family members. This year, with all that is going on in the world, we propose that April Fools Day is cancelled. Instead of the usual hijinks and tricks, let’s instead surprise our friends and family with random acts of KINDNESS. Here are some ideas:
Support a local business by purchasing a gift certificate and then drop it off in a neighbor’s mailbox.
Send someone flowers.
Write a letter of appreciation to your parents. To a friend. To the UPS delivery person.
Send a supportive text or Facebook message to a healthcare worker battling COVID-19 each day.
Call or FaceTime a relative you haven’t talked to in awhile.
What favor or kind gesture will you come up with? After you surprise someone, snap a picture and share it in the comments. We would love to see good deeds and happy moments fill up our feed.
Do one small thing to share love and light on a day normally reserved for tricks. That’s the challenge!
