With Dodge County’s State of Emergency banning gatherings of 10 or more through April 20, we are moving our Holy Week and Easter festivities online. While nothing can replace being together, there are some exciting things (and surprises too!) we’re doing to celebrate this holy season. With our hearts set on Christ and his sacrifice and great victory on Easter morning, we can feel connected to the meaning of the season while being distant from church.
Palm Sunday: The children will process to start our service! Be sure to tune in Sunday, April 5, at 11am to our Facebook page to see how. Worship will focus on Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Tenebrae: This service will be as usual except recorded and posted online Thursday evening, April 9. An online recording creates the opportunity to experience this service as it was originally intended: with ending in complete darkness.
Easter Egg Hunt: A virtual twist on this wonderful tradition! Starting Thursday, April 2, colored Easter Eggs will be hidden on the church building! Take the fam, park, and walk (practice social distancing!) around the church to see how many you can find. Post a picture of yourself and tag the church telling us how many you found!
Easter: This service will remain virtual but unique in format and location. It’ll have a few other surprises so be sure to tune in Sunday, April 12 at 11am!
