Coming up this Sunday, November 24, we will celebrate thanksgiving together through worship. The sermon will focus on what it means to give thanksgiving to God.
We will also celebrate communion together! The special prayer given during communion is called “The Great Thanksgiving.” It’s so because it gives thanks for the Father, then for the Son, then for the Spirit, and then for the church. We return thanks, receive of the grace of God offered at the table (another reason for thanksgiving!), and then are better equipped to go and give ourselves for others in the name of Christ.
I can think of no better way to prepare our hearts for this special holiday. Join us at 8:45 or 11:00 am on Sunday, November 24!
