Now More Kid Friendly: Family Chrismon Tree Decorating

Once again, we’ll gather to have a festive, fun, family time of decorating the Chrismon trees in the Sanctuary and Social Hall. This is our annual opportunity for kids to lend a hand in getting the church ready for Christmas, learn about what the different Chrismons (e.g. symbols for Christ) mean, so that they know better why we celebrate the season of Advent.

This year, we will be even more kid friendly. The songs are kid friendly now so they can get into the singing at the start and the end. We’ll have a time of lesson about the Chrismons and then they’ll get to decorate the tree and run around being kids in the sanctuary. At the end, we will turn off all the lights in the sanctuary and light the trees for the first time, a magical moment where we gaze upon our work. As we gaze, we’ll sing a Christmas carol and then dismiss.

I hope you’ll make plans to join us on Monday, November 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary!
